Administrator

Salary: £16,500 per annum

Location: Edinburgh City Centre

The successful applicant will assist with the administration and development of the Scottish Arbitration Centre on Princes Street in Edinburgh, working on the delivery of various projects, including administration of the Office of the Convener of School Closure Review Panels.  The Administrator will assist the Centre’s Chief Executive, Andrew Mackenzie; a solicitor on secondment from Scottish Government, Kate Murphy, a young solicitor from Australia, and Paula Wilkie, a law graduate from Edinburgh.

Candidates will possess highly developed oral and written communication skills, and excellent administrative, numeracy and presentation skills. They should have the ability to manage a busy and diverse workload, deal with accounts and budgets, and have good organisational and record-keeping skills. Candidates must also have a high overall standard of computer literacy including an advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office. Experience in event management, social media and marketing, and website development using WordPress is desirable but not essential.

This position is full time, 35 hours per week, commencing on or around 25 January 2016.

 Candidates must be available to attend interviews on Tuesday 19 and Wednesday 20 January 2016.
